Project:  Elizabeth Castle

Client:  Jersey Heritage

Project Scale:  Georgian Military Hospital and Coal Store, and the 18th century Officers’ Quarters.

RGA has built up experience on working on a number of historic buildings and have provided detailed design advice on repairing the historic timber work for the castle whilst ensuring we are retaining as much of the original structure as possible. We have developed contacts with UK specialists who have supported us in advising on particularly sensitive areas of the construction and we have liaised with the Historic Environment team providing method statements for out designed work to ensure that it is carried out correctly. This meticulous approach protects the historically important structures and allows for more detailed planning of the works giving certainty to the project and client team on cost and programme.
