Scale of Project: Construction of 2 new 3G artificial grass pitches to replace poor quality grass playing areas
Both St Clements & Plat Douet schools had poor quality grass playing fields which were unusable in the winter months. After detailed site investigations, and through careful consideration of the location and poor ground conditions, RGA were able to design a SuDS drainage scheme to deal with the prevalent surface water issues on the sites. This process entailed coordination with the landowners and local drainage authorities. RGA were also able to utilise their civil engineering experience to design the pitch sub-bases and retaining structures to provide a safe and enjoyable play area for the children.
